This is a very old and simple (yet such an effective and tasty) healing recipe for the gastrointestinal tract (which includes the stomach and the intestines). The bones, marrow skin and tendons contain Collagen and Amino Acids (Proline & Glycine). Any type of marrow bones can be purchased but ensure that they are organic or at least grass-fed, free range. It doesn’t matter whether they are beef or chicken. This recipe is done with a whole chicken and can be kept in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen to be pulled out and defrosted when needed.
Bone broth can be consumed as it is (one glass or more daily – preferable gently warmed before drinking!), used as a base for soups, casseroles or any recipes that requires chicken or beef stock.
